Featured in the Fairfield Citizen | 2013 PetrowGardens was commissioned to work on renovating Southport Park in Southport, CT, building stone steps, regrading the walking paths, constructing stone walls and tables, and introducing native plants to the park in order to attract more birds and other wildlife. Working together with the Connecticut Audubon Society we devised a landscape plan using natives such as High Bush Cranberry, Red Chokeberry, River Birch, Switch Grasses, and others to replant the park’s barren forest. Featured in the westport news | 2011 Lissy Newman is presented with a painting by local artist Jay Petrow, depicting a meadow scene in the Newman Poses Nature Preserve in Westport. Unveiling the painting is David Brant, executive director of the Aspetuck Land Trust. which manages the preserve. PetrowGardens has worked with the Aspetuck Land Trust helping with designs in some of their more natural environments. Read Article
